The Gala Barn at Wild Goose offers a venue unparalleled in the region. Our Barn features historic elegance while offering modern amenities such as a commercial HVAC system, allowing for a comfortable temperature no matter the season. The upper level boasts a high beamed roof up to the cupola, and an 80’x40’ footprint that allows us a 200 person capacity. Large Barn doors create easy accessibility and large windows provide ample sunlight. Our fan and chandelier lights are on dimmers which allow any mood to be set. The lower level showcases our bistro seating area along with bridal and groom suites adorned in New Orleans decor - a nod to the founders of Wild Goose. The lower level additionally features our catering room and ADA compliant restrooms - each with 3 stalls. Out from the lower level you enter the courtyard, surrounded by the Hay Barn and stone walls. This area offers a wonderful ceremony site, or more commonly, a cocktail hour location. Continuing out of the courtyard most of our couples choose to meander to the Mansion Pond for their ceremony. With the option to choose the Mansion or the woods as a backdrop, this location offers serene landscapes anywhere you look. Rental Fees 2026
Wild Goose offers a unique DIY opportunity in a setting whose beauty, history and charm are unrivaled. Enjoy the company of your family and friends, decorate to your heart’s content, and let the dreams begin…
The weekend is preserved as a 3-day block (Friday through Sunday). The venue rental is $6000 PLUS WV sales tax and includes:
Ample access to the property during the rental period
Use of the property for your engagement pictures. There are numerous beautiful spots as well as architecturally interesting outbuildings
Tables and chairs to accommodate up to 200 guests
Restrooms with 3 stalls in each (ADA Compliant)
Two changing suites for wedding parties
Cozy bistro-like lounge
Warming kitchen for the catering staff
HVAC system provides year-round climate control
Generous parking area/Wi-Fi/ Handicap accessibility
Rental Guidelines
Payment
To secure the date, a signed contract must be accompanied by a down payment of $2500 PLUS tax (6% currently in WV). This amount is non-refundable.
The remaining balance AND a security deposit of $500 are due 1 month prior to the wedding. Please note that the security deposit is not taxed. Assuming responsible cleanup and no additional costs owed, the security deposit would be returned to you after the wedding.
Wild Goose is perfect for celebrations of all kinds – Quinceanera, anniversaries, retirement parties, etc. It’s a great site for your fundraising event, corporate meeting or training seminar. Please contact us for rates and more information. We’d love to know more about your event and event needs in order to better accommodate you.
Further Guidelines
It is the responsibility of the renter to identify one event coordinator or another individual as the sole contact.
Agreements cannot be transferred or assigned.
Wild Goose is a NO SMOKING venue.
Renters and their parties shall observe all posted signs for parking and driving on the property.
No open flames (fire pit, bonfire) without permission.
No swimming or fishing in the ponds. Livestock must not be disturbed.
No nails or paint. The structure and decor of the Barn cannot be altered.
Without prior approval, all events must end by 11:00 PM.
Town ordinance prohibits loud outside music.
Clean up is the responsibility of the renter - including, but not limited to, folding of chairs/tables, removal of trash.
Wild Goose Farm can arrange the handling of responsibilities at an additional cost.
While we do offer our guests a vendor list made up of caterers, DJs, bartenders etc. that are familiar with our venue and have demonstrated excellent service - we do not require their services. You may choose your own, and if they are successful, we will add them to our vendor list.
